TRICE and e-Learning'11 conference - Bucharest (Romania)

TRICE Final meting of ETN TRICE an e-Learning'11 conference were held on 24 to 27 August 2011 in Bucharest, Romania. More than 100 representatives from 52 partners institutions of 28 European countries took part in this Meeting including our company Temida. The meeting was conducted with the main agenda: Summary report about completed work and presentations of final results of the tasks of in work packages. Next day was reserved for e-Learning'11 conference, where representative of Temida company had two lectures with the topics of e-Learning Solutions and Knowledge Soceity. The concrete aim of this project is to introduce research and innovations in Computing educations and training. ETN TRICE Thematic Network Project has been founded with support from the European Commision.

Temida on Linux Business conference in Portorož

Using open source tools and solutions in the world is constantly increasing. Compared to commercial software, these tools and solutions have number of advantages. This year's conference was marked by a lecture of one of the seniors of Linux, Jon "Maddog" Hall, entitled "It is not a cost, but the value", where he talked about how to increase the ROI-a with implementation of open source software. The representative of company Temida is presented the lecture about Web solution for managing public tenders, which was developed on the LAMP technology platform, with use of open source library NuSOAP. Solution has been developed for one of the institutions of public administration. He addressed the importance of implementation open source solutions to information systems of public administration, and emphasized the importance of a broader awareness of such solutions, particularly in the managers of p ublic administrative institutions. e-Learning 2009 Conference, Berlin

This Conference is the 5th in the E-Learning Conference series. It was held at the end of August (August 31st and September 1st 2009) in Berlin, Germany. The conference adopted the views on all aspects of e-Learning with particular emphasis on those that are directly related to the use of technology in supporting computer-based teaching and learning. The first day was devoted to meeting, hearing the results of previous work on work packages and plenary session entitled "A new generation of students and the future of e-Learning in higher education". The second day was devoted to sections in the field of e-Learning. In the section "Knowledge Soceity", the company Temida presented the paper and lecture entitled "Semantic Application Integration by Learning Ontologies", and from the Conference Board received the "e-Learning 2009 - Best Paper" award for the best paper of the Conference. Days of Slovenian Informatics 2009

This Days of Slovenian Informatics consultation was on 16 in series. The Conference was held between 15 and 17 April 2009 in Portoroz. At this conferences Temida company traditionally presents its current achievements. This year, the expert from Temida lectured on the current highly topical subject: the System of public administration procurement. In the section 'Informatics in public administration' presented the circumstances, opportunities and traps of transition to e-government with the procedural point of view. In the technical part of Lectures successfully implemented project of building an information system based on the use of open source technology platforms and Web services technology were presented by the authors. Temida participate on EU project TRICE

Temida as the only partner of Slovenia participates in the European project TRICE. The primary purpose of the project is to achieve progress on the study and implementation of research and innovation in e-education in its different aspects. One of the aims of the proposal is to integrate teams from universities, research institutes and companies involved in development of innovative educational technologies. Some main project objectives and activities are to create European Thematic Network for Teaching, Research and Innovations in Computing Education, to promote innovations through close cooperation with companies and to reorganise teaching and course delivery on the basis of innovative educational technologies. SSRS expose a new web-based solution

Implemention a new web-based solution e-Cenitve, SSRS has got a simple and efficient solution designed for managaging public competitions for real estate valuation using electronic forms, which was developed by company Temida.
Selected companies in the system of public competition can now access and register to public competition completly paperless, using only web browser. For SSRS, the interactive web solutions brings electronic archive and simple, efficient control of public competition system business processas well as lover the costs. Temida on 6th Eastern eGOV Days in Prague

E-administration receives in Europe greater meaning and at the same time it importantly influences attitudes between public institutions and citizens. In this spirit the already 6th international conference Eastern eGOV Days was organised, which was held between 23rd and 25th April 2008 in Prague in Czech Republic. Its intention was to introduce good practice on the field of introduction electronic services to public administration. Representatives from the company Temida and SSRS introduced with different assembly of electronic services supported process of subsidising of purchase of housing for young families. The Information system is based upon architecture of online services and open standards. In this way it is placed between more advanced Interoperable Information System in public administration. Temida on DSI 2008 Conference

dsi2008 On the largest independent professional event on the field of information science, Days of Slovene information science, that was held between 9th and 11th april in Portorož, specialist of the company Temida introduced their own experiences and views on interoperability. In assembly of interoperability and open standards the lecturers introduced more concrete cases of connectivity of different infrustructures. They emphasised, that likewise as connection of software and machine part people are also important, who must at this accepte an active role. Interoperability on the field of the IKT namely introduces one most important conditions for a successful development of the infromation society. Experiences; exchange of ideas and realizing the best practices are so assigned also for the accepting of interoperability as universal principle of activity of the information society. Knowledge for sustainable development

Knowledge is the most important matter of development of information society. At this year's 27th International Conference on organizational science development, which was held between 19th and 21st of March in Portorož, emphasis was on knowledge and his transfer to economy. To the actuality of different contents the Company Temida has contributed with following reports: Information System for Supporting a Process of Selecting Buyers for Apartments and Interoperability Model Using Web Service Concept. Lecturers introduced to participants activity of contemporary, process organised public-administrative institution and advantages, that such organization brings them. In first lecture emphasis was on efficient administration of business process with use of contemporary information technologies. Purpose of another lecture was presentation of different models of approaches at solving problems, connected with interoperability of information systems. Lecturer presented concept of interoperability and concept of service technology more in detail, as one of most efficient ways for solving problems of connecting technologically different information systems. Temida on IBLOC 2007 Conference in Portorož

IBLOC 2007 Our experts participated on IBLOC 2007, International Business Linux and Open Source Conference, which was held in Portorož between October 27. and 28. On the Web Technologies (Web 2.0) section, we presented problems in the organization and planning stage of a project, as well as in the information system architecture design stage. The entire solution was developed on Open Source platform LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). We put interoperability at the first place, so the involved organizations, irrespective of their platform technology (hardware and software), can easilly access and implement the solution. 6th International EGOV Conference, Regensburg

Nowdays e-business increasing, thanking Web Services technology. Between September 3. and 11. 2007 sixth International EGOV Conference - EGOV Society was held in Regensburg (Germany). This year we partticipated in the Section of Knowledge Management - Concepts and Systems. Our's company experts presented the best practice example of G2G e-business using Web services. They introduce the audience with common difficulties, solutions and oportunities, tendering mentioned technology and trends. Temida on E-Goverment Day's in Prague

E-gov Days Between April 11. and 13. 2007, the 5th Eastern European E-Goverment Day's was held in Prague, Checz republic. Our representatives traditionally participates those joint events. This year we presented our experiences of supporting B2G interoperability. The word was about linking different technological platforms between public institutions and companies on the efficient way. The second presentation was expose new trends on development e-business decision-support for Housing Subventions to Young Families in Slovenia  solutions. SSRS apartments allocation

CIMSAP Project

Temida and several EU partners (Telefonica - Spain, Fraunhofer - Germany, INESC - Porugal, etc.) have submited a new project CIMSAP to 6th Framework programme. CIMSAP aims at enhancing adaptability of crisis management systems working in non-standardised environments; at strengthening specific capabilities of Geographic Information Systems needed to support distributed decision-making processes among crisis management actors; and at improving resilience and effectiveness of components taking care of gathering information from resource providers. One of the priorities is interoperability between Crisis Management Centres that gather information from agencies, which provide information about their resources, can be enhanced by using specific web technologies.

Preparing for Euro

From March 1st, all prices in Slovenia must be marked in Slovenian Tolars as well as in Euro. Banks incliding in NSVS and their savers can now check their savings on the NSVS web pages in both currencies. Slovenian Tolars are converted into Euro using central exchange rate 1€=239,640 SIT. In this way we help promoting the acceptance of new Euro.

Final MEDSI rewiew meeting in Holon (Israel)

On Monday, December 12, 2005, the final rewiew meeting of the MEDSI project was held in Holon, Israel. Project results as well as fully functional prototype were presented to EU project officers. MEDSI received outstanding evaluation. Despite the official end of the project, the results will be presented in forthcomming conferences and other events described in exploitation plan.


MEDSI project meeting in Antalya (Turkey)

During 8th and 9th of October 2005 Temida attended the last project working meeting in Antalya, Turkey. Temida's representative also participated in this MEDSI meeting. This international project is designed for solving crisis management problems for critical infrastructure. The project is approaching its end, so we have been preparing for the review meeting and resolving the final integration issues of the developed MEDSI system.

MEDSI project extends

Temida has signed the agreement to proceed cooperation in european project MEDSI, that started in year 2002. Temida is the only company from Slovenia partcipating in this Europian project, which will be useful for all EU members. Commision of EU has already confirmed the second phase of this project, so the project MEDSI will get new momentum.

Meeting in Faroe Islands - directions for continuations

Temida participate the meeting on Faroe Islands, where the main subject was project MEDSI. The inovative software solutions of our company is the only solutions comming from Sloveniajetje v projektu. The participants of meeting agreee that project makes progress well. There was also a conversation if the project need to be extend.
